Corendon secures leases for more MAXs

Corendon Group has announced it has secured a lease-agreement with Air Lease Corporation to lease nine additional B737MAXs. Six will be B737-8s, the remaining three will be B737-9s.

The six MAX8s will be delivered to Corendon Airlines (Turkey), with five to be delivered in the coming months. The sixth will be delivered in the first quarter of next year. The three B737-9s are going to Corendon Dutch Airlines and the first delivery is planned for the first half of 2023.

Currently, Corendon has a total fleet of 27 aircraft, spread across the three airlines in the Group. Corendon Airlines (Turkey) has a fleet of 14 B737-800s and one B737-8, Corendon Dutch Airlines has three B737-800s, while Corendon Airlines Europe (Malta) operates nine B737-800s.

In the coming years, Corendon plans to slowly expand the fleet to 40 aircraft.
