Azul to phase-out A350s

Various Brazilian aviation sites are reporting that Azul is set to phase-out its duo of Airbus A350-900s by the end of October 2023. If confirmed, the airline will have operated the type just over a year. It's also said that both aircraft are destined to go to Iberia.

Azul took delivery of its first A350-900, PR-AOY (168) in September 2022, and its second one, PR-AOW (124) in December 2022. The type is mainly used for the airline's flights between Campinas and Paris-Orly.

Azul is phasing-out the type because of not really fitting its operational model and is therefore not as efficient as its current other widebody-fleet, which consists of four A330-200s and five A330-900s.
