ANA unveils AirJapan

All Nippon Airways Holdings has unveiled its newest brand, AirJapan. The new hybrid low-cost airline is set to launch operations in 2023 with a fleet of Boeing 787s coming from mainline ANA. AirJapan will fly to medium-haul destinations and is ANA's answer to Japan Airlines' ZIPAir.

AirJapan is not a new name for ANA Holdings, as it's an existing subsidiary operating charter flights. Until today, however, it always used All Nippon Airways aircraft and flight numbers. It has been founded in 1990 as World Air Network and was renamed to Air Japan in 2010.
