An-12 crashes near Irkutsk

On 3 November, An-12 EW-518TI (8346107), operated by Grodno Aircompany, crashed four kilometers northeast of Irkutsk Airport. After the crash a fire broke out, destroying the aircraft. Unfortunately, all seven people on board were killed in the incident.

The 1968-vintage Antonov operated a flight from Yakutsk and during the approach to Irkutsk, the crew performed a go-around after which contact was lost. At the time of the crash (19:45 local time), the weather was poor with snow low visibility due to low clouds.
