Hi all,

the ship with 12 helicopters on board passing rhine-kilometer 737 in Germany today at 19.10 o'clock local time on its way south. So it should have crossed the Netherlands yesterday!

Groundcontrol

Gmbrl! When returning from Ramstein yesterday we crossed the river Waal. For the fun I told my co-spotter in the car just for fun; "Look! A boot with helicopters!"......

737 is Neuss so right no they should be near Cologne/Keulen/Koln. So they should arrive at Coleman on Thursday. So go get them next weekend!

Gents; following information was collected from various sources:
* On June 30th 11 UH-60's were seen on Graz.
* On July 10th the command was transfered from KFOR 12 to KFOR 13.
* On 11th of July 11 UH-60's were seen on Graz which arrived from the south east.

If we add up all the above information this means that at this moment you can expect to find the following 11 UH-60's at Coleman ready to be shipped down the river Rhine towards Antwerp:

The KY Blackhawks have been loaded aboard and departure from Lampertheim is scheduled at 17:00. The speed of the ship is aprox. 15km/h.

On Sunday morning at 6 the ship is planned in Rotterdam for unloading some stuff. Then it will sail on towards Antwerp where it should arrive Sunday evening. On Monday morning at 8:00 unloading will start at kaai 1241.

Good luck!
Jeroen

Een paar rotorloze Apache's that's it!

Back to English; I've been able to retrieve the following figures:
Worms 443.20 km (near Lampertheim)
Emmerich 851.90 km
Nijmegen 884 km

So:
Worms: 30/7 17:00u
Emmerich: 31/7 20:00u
Nijmegen: 31/7 22:30u

I'll give it a try tomorow evening before sunset along the Dutch/German border.

Thanks for the info Jeroen!

However, I think the eta in Rotterdam will be a little later than 6am if the ships passes Nijmegen around 22:30? From there it is still about 140km and with it travelling at an avarage speed of 15km/h it would mis it's intended off loading around 6am.

I also checked the ECT website, but I need more specific information about the vesselname or operator to check it's current eta (and be able to tell if it's on schedule). It's like finding a needle in a haystack.

So if anyone knows more, pls let me know so I could check and advise back on the board. Maybe see you in Emmerich!

Hello Sjoerd,

Rhine RO-RO Service B.V is the shipping company of the MS Dynamica and MS Vera. I don't know which one they are using for today's transport. Anyway some calculations:

Worms kmr 443.20 (near Lampertheim)
Emmerich kmr 851.90
Nijmegen kmr 884
Rotterdam kmr 1000

From Rotterdam tilll Worms is 557 km diveded by 15km/h makes 37 hours. Departing 17:00h on 30th of July makes an arrival in Rotterdam tomorrow morning at 6.
Please let me know if I make any errors. I've tried to check several webcams along the river Rhine. http://www.b-p-s.de/jpg/2010-07-31/1125.jpg" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; is a good one with 5 minutes intervalls which are stored. I've searched all images since 5:00 this morning but no luck. So it could be it travels faster and had already passed Bonn by 5AM.

Unfortunatley ECT website could help out, as both vessels as well as the shipping line are not showing any results.

Well have to do it the old fashioned way then. Just wait and see along the river. :D

Good luck everybody!
