Reading the ASN-post, the nose gear did not fail, but failed to lower. With a damaged prop as a result, the big question is: what did that do to the engine?

The gear lowered after some g pulling, lock light was on, and gear was checked visually as being out, however, nose gear collapsed on landing unfortunately.
Repair to flying status is the intent of the owners.
