PH-ULP landing for a medevac in Oosterhout

Post by Sven van Roij »

On my way back home from EHGR I received a call from my dad, telling me a traumahelicopter had just landed on the playground of a nearby school.

I took some shots of this helo, but had some strange feelings. It's a great chopper, but here reason to be in Oosterhout was terrible; she picked a 7 month old child up. -edit- today I heard the child was 5 years old. However, still a horrible accident.

I've got a lot respect for the pilot (ex RNLAF Cougar pilot by the way) and his crew. They have a great, but sometimes very difficult job.

I coudn't use my tripod, because I left it at home: thought I would only go to EHGR today...

He's a way out of home. Indeed, great guys of those trauma teams, but reason they 'll come is often not so pretty. Nice pics.
