After a year of absence, we are pleased to introduce a new edition of the Scramble Military Serials - Europe. Again, we have tried to cramp as much information in as little amount of space as possible to keep it portable and affordable. Contrary to the 2015 edition, we have reverted to a list format for the orders of battle. We realize that this may not be quite as appealing to the eye, but an all-out version including badges and a country map, would take up way too much space and we have our online orbats for that.
For every country all types that are listed have at least one aircraft of that type active as of 1 March 207, including those only used by technical schools. Also, we have altered the sorting order. We now use the full type designation as primary indicator, not the manufacturer.
This edition was compiled just after Scramble magazine number 454, so subsequent updates on these lists can be found in Scramble 455 and onward.
Because of the standardisation we sometimes use type, unit and serial presentations that may strongly differ from those used by the manufacturer or user. It is therefore possible that the information sent by you can deviate from the information we publish.
