In it’s lifetime within the RNLAF, the CH-47D Chinook has proved itself as a real workhorse. In 2012 deliveries started on six CH-47F Fox Chinooks. Three went to JNTD/302sq Fort Hood and 3 went to 298sq, Gilze-Rijen. Upgrade or replacing the current fleet of CH-47D is deplayed to 2015.

Since August 2012 DMO is responsible for 1 F-35A, joined by number 2 in June 2013. Both are based at Eglin AFB and move to Edwards AFB, CA late 2014.

Two Dornier 228s are part of the Coastguard, controlled by 334sq and flown from Schiphol. Both Fokker 50s and G-IV are up for sale and the DC-10 was scrapped July 2014 in Newquay.
 
For Air-to-Air refuelling, the RNLAF uses two former civilian DC-10’s which where transformed to KDC-10 Tanker aircraft. A third ‘normal’ DC-10 was purchased for troop/cargo transport, entered service in 2011 and was withdrawn from dutie on 31 December 2013.

Eight Cougars are kept active untill 2020, with nige Cougars stored some may reactivate. The Alouettes will be withdrawn in 2015.
 
The mighty AH-64D Apache was delivered from 1998 and is the first and only attack helicopter. Six of them are on a permanent stay in the USA while others have operated in Afghanistan, Eritrea and Mali.

322sq has been selected as first sq to fly the F-35A in 2019.
In November 2014 323sq will stand down at Leeuwarden en resurract at Edwards AFB, CA as F-35 OT&E unit
 
322sq is the oldest operational squadron and has been active since 1942. It was also the first unit to receive F-16’s in 1981.

Also based here is LCW (Logistiek Centrum Woensdrecht - Logistic Centre Woensdrecht ) taking care of heavy maintenance for RNlAF aircraft.
Stork Aerospace is also situated at this base. Maintenance for many RNlAF aircraft is performed here, but also for the KNL F-16 and Fokker aircraft of foreign states. Also many Fokkers are stored here.
