Phototopic: Wittmund 4 March 2009 base visit

Some pictures of the excellent base visit organised by the Panoravia in cooperation with the GRAS. Also thanks to the PR office of JG-71. Runway shots were impossible due to back light conditions, but nice pictures could be made at the parallel taxi next to the runway, the last chance area and the visitors platform.

Tuesday when I looked at the various weather forecasts I thought about not going, some sunny spells between many clouds in the morning and rain in the afternoon. But during sunset it looked liked the sky was clear, but for how long....? In the end it was clear until four o'clock.

More luck then wisdom this time :D

Indeed it was a great day, not only for the photographers, but also for the number crunchers.
