Isn't this an EP-3A, behind Hornet 405 ?
Indeed. It arrived from Rota on the 2nd but it went tech, so it remained on the ground for a few days.
It's 160764.

Re: Lajes - 3x emergency landings in 24h 26/27 September (CIV)

A short update to the Avianca story. On the 7th Sky Lease Cargo B747 arrived with a new engine. It flew from Medellin and was supposed to leave on the same day. It departed last night to Miami. The Avianca is still on the ground.

Lajes - 3x emergency landings in 24h 26/27 September (CIV)

Hello everyone Although September has been a very quiet month at Lajes, on the 26 and 27 there were 3 emergency landings from airliners crossing the Atlantic. Emergency landing happend now and then and are not that uncommon, as the airfield is well located and suitable, being open 24/7. 26 around no...

Re: Lajes August 2022 (CIV/MIL)

Hi Peter! I can do that, of course. But the fact is there aren't that many mil/civilian (apart from the usual schedule airlines [PH-TFP is flying to here as I write]) that visit Lajes these days. So far this month I've taken photos of only 4 movements (yesterday SPAR18 05-0932 C-40C took a short tax...

Lajes August 2022 (CIV/MIL)

Hello everyone. August was a bit dull until the second half of the month. At one point I think there were more bizjets then military aircraft from USAF/Navy and other Air Forces. Then there were several P-8's based here. A total of 9 were seen. There were also several USAF C-130 flying eastbound, mo...

Lajes July 2022 (CIV/MIL)

Hello everyone. July was not a busy month at Lajes but we did get good summer weather. A bit of explanation on the photos that you will see bellow. - D-EFZB has been on "tour", during most of July, through Portugal. Very rare to have a civilian bizprop around here. - TABOR11 (4 Duluth marked F-16) a...

Re: Lajes June 2022 (CIV/MIL)

Ah, never mind, I see that you have already answered that question in your post about may. Great, thanks! Do you happen to have the codes for 164884-164902-165399? I do! 164884 - WK-05; "VMFA(AW)-224" "Bengals" 165399 - No titles, just "200" 164902 is a tricky one and I admit I could have made a mi...

Re: Lajes May 2022 (CIV/MIL)

Hi Rui, It seems you mentioned 164892 2 times on both waves of 2 and 3 June. Could there be a slight mistake ? Best Regards C You're right! I've checked the photos that I took on the 2nd and found it. So it's confirmed that 164892 (DR-207) landed on the 2nd. . PS: only recently I found out that I h...

Lajes June 2022 (CIV/MIL)

Hi everyone. Here's a small selection of photos of last month traffic. The white CRJ (ex South African Express) was a ferry flight back to North America, TUI dreamliner was a medical emergency from Gatwick to St. Lucia and the EuroAtlantic B767 is operating for Azores Airlines on the Oakland service...

Lajes May 2022 (CIV/MIL)

Hi everyone. It has been years since the last time I made a post here on Scramble. At the moment I'm calling Lajes my "home airport" and I'll be publishing here, monthly, photos to illustrate some of the aircraft that transit at Lajes. Feel free to make questions. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535...
