Re: ALLIED RESOLVE 2022 + what followed

There is small units with Su-24 based at Lipetsk, Marinovka, Morozovsk and Voronezh-Baltimor, Marinovka have based Su-30SM and Su-34, with 24 Su-24 in storage. The navy on crimea has large units with Su-24 based at Novofedorovka and Gvardeyskoye. I am aware of the Su-24s in the vicinity of Ukraine ...

Re: ALLIED RESOLVE 2022 + what followed

And here is one of the (drone) videos of Chornobaevka, with a Mi-8 and Mi-24 visible. The two earlier mentioned ones by the looks of it. Both parked on the runway.

Re: ALLIED RESOLVE 2022 + what followed

Now also videos going around of a Mi-24 being captured by Ukrainians. Seems like same airfield and looks like another former Ukrainian bird to me. https://twitter.com/NOELreports/status/1591683018623971328 And this video is allegedly of a Russian jet getting hit near Bakhmut. I cannot see the hit, t...

Re: ALLIED RESOLVE 2022 + what followed

Captured Mi-8 in the Kherson region. Seems like the Z is painted over Ukrainian markings, so probably captured by the Russians early in the war and now back with its rightful owners. Just like Kherson itself!! https://twitter.com/TWMCLtd/status/1591163758126436352 And don't forget to watch the video...

Re: News & thoughts on Putin's invasion of Ukraine

Ok, I have no idea about what the h*ll this is. It comes from a very respectable guy on Twitter, who has been translating many posts and videos from Russian to English. I am sure his translation is accurate. I am also sure these two clowns are the Minister of Defence of Russia and the Chief Idiot in...

Re: Lisbon airport (LPPT/LIS) 2022 MIL

Two extremely rare visitors for Lisbon yesterday (Tuesday 8 November). The visit was unfortunately outside of normal visiting hours, but thanks to the wind (southern), both codes could be visually confirmed in darkness and pouring rain when they taxied out at 22h. Serials from their previous stop in...

Re: ALLIED RESOLVE 2022 + what followed

And another video of a Ka-52 crash site. Not much remains, though the (blurred out) remains of the two pilots are still there. The guy filming says it happened a month ago, that the Russians had been there since, but never bothered to retrieve the pilots. Typical... https://twitter.com/wartranslated...

Re: 31okt2022 near Letland: Two Kamov Ka-52 Hokums destroyed, two severely damaged near Latvia... Pskov Ostrov explosion

And here an analysis of which detonator was used in the clip. https://twitter.com/UAWeapons/status/1587198287118999552 Going theory seems to be an act of a Russian saboteur who wanted to make sure he was going to be paid for destroying a helicopter (as the Ukrainians have promised payment for handin...

Ka-52 wreck somewhere in Ukraine. No info on which, where or when. https://twitter.com/UAWeapons/status/1587215570453372928 And a Russian Mi-8 that was blown out of the sky at very low level. Should have been flying lower... or maybe not at all... https://twitter.com/Tendar/status/158707497675835392...

For those who did not stop reading, alleged video of someone putting explosives on at least one Ka-52.

Code 14wh at 0.42?

It does look like the helicopter is somewhat wrapped up and missing rotorblades.

First Portuguese KC-390 handed over in Beja

Happened yesterday. After that the plane should have followed the prime minister to Lisbon, but alas, that didn't happen. The PM made it, the KC did not... not sure why not. Anyway, it is here, in Beja, not sure when it will start flying for real. https://emfa.pt/noticia-3912-kc390-a-caminho-de-port...

Re: News & thoughts on Putin's invasion of Ukraine

Some other results of the Putin's invasion. The railroads are starting to stop. Due to the unavailability of spare parts, 10.000 freight cars have already been taken out of service. 100.000 more might follow that before the end of the year. For a country that is huge and almost fully dependent on th...

Re: ALLIED RESOLVE 2022 + what followed

I didn't say the pilot did it intentionally, I said the jet did. So take the sarcasm for what it is worth. What I do know about the Russians, is that when they are about to get decisively defeated, they tend to pull back and implode, resulting in regime change. Has happened before, will happen again...
