My wife came downstairs telling me there's a guy in front of our house with a very large camera 'spotting' planes. I said: are you sure? He's not taking pics of ducks or something? No, she said. ...

Unbelievable how people just park their car anywhere and then get annoyed when the KMar sends them away. Another nail to the coffin of a spotting location... Look at the traffic sign in the middle of the photo. Are these people blind, ignorant or just plain stupid? Do they even have the righ...

Good stuff! Especially the first one. I love the compression of long lenses when there is no heat haze! Reminds me of this one (and the comment that goes with it, although I didn't exactly beg): http://www.airliners.net/photo/Qantas/Boeing-747-438/1071009/L/&sid=4c2e15c7882a533af9221dd13d908aac ...e...

Re: VID: 3 camera setup at Schiphol

I miss the added value of having 3 cameras if they are all located at the same spot. It's like there were 3 of you filming side by side and you pasted the material together. It would be cool if the 3 cams are a few hundred meters apart. Right now it's just very messy, clicking (no fader?) from zoome...

Je kan het proberen, maar is meestel teleurstellend en kieper je hem alsnog weg. (tenzij het een héle zeldzame kist is) Ik moet zeggen, de...

After seeing Maarten-sr's awesome Surinam shot, I had a reason to go to the terrace again (I hadn't been there in years). I realised my 40D with 100-400 didn't cut it though. Not enough reach, not sharp enough. Here's the result anyway... http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7172/6658794103_71bd80b137_b.jp...
