Sud SE-210 Caravelle VI-R cn 102 N98KT , ex PH-TRU of Transavia, was delivered new to United as N1017U back in 1961 . Put into service for Transavia in November 1970, transferred to the US as N555SL in August 1976.
Stuck at Van Nuys since 1978. Now the final end is near...

A missed chance for the Aviodrome. It is.
A lot of these old Transavia Caravelles were scrapped in 1976 at Schiphol. They had the chance before.
Only a cockpit-section was left.
Sometimes the truth is painful. (quote John Lennon).

But there is still a chance: Caravelle 6r ex PH-TRY before its too late.
