Wittmund / Upjever The Richthofen Squadron in Wittmund prepares for the end of Phantom fighter jets:
On 30 June`2013, the last 14 fighter jets make the Phantom type finally taking off and make way for the Euro Fighter.
20 machines of the Eurofighter are, as reported, will be stationed until 2018, Wittmund.
Already, the number of aircraft and crews has melted.
For 2013 700 flight hours are provided - "that's just the flight hours that we absolutely need to keep the QRA running,"
What seems certain is already that, in April, the first Euro Fighter landing on the airfield Wittmundhafen.
Roubal in May, according to the Euro-Fighter mode is started up to six aircraft,
and as of June next to the F 4 Phantoms already run with a "shadow alarm rotting" of the new jets.
Guys, we only have the beginning of Feb. The Spottersday will be at the end of June. Just be patient and wait till at least April, and please stop asking more or less every week "is there something new........."!!
