Helitech 2018

Post by heliexperte »

Good evening,

in October I will spend a week in the Netherlands for vacation, more exactly the week during which the Helitech will be held at Amsterdam.

I hope some of you guys could help me out with the following questions (either with detailed information about this year's edition or with experiences from the past years)

Any ideas what helicopters to expect?
Will some of them arrive by air again?
Which day will be the Fly-In? (Or Fly-Out?)
Where exactly will these helicopters land at the RAI complex and is it possible to take photos?
Is it likely they will be at Amsterdam Heliport before? Or can we expect any additional visiting helicopters there during Helitech?

Many questions, but I guess there are some experts in here?!

Hiya!

Found a gap in my daily schedule for a quick run over Helitech, the following was logged (c/n's with * were read off, a/c in moving left and around from the entrance):
D-HHTJ AW169 c/n 69033*
PH-HOW EC145 ANWB 20082*
- EC-160 mock up
- Bo105 fuselage (I think I've seen this a/c about five times earlier, but I've never been able to identify it)
PH-OSF EC175 5009*
(LN-OHJ) Puma (Marked as such on a small plate on r/h side)
F-HJRX B505 65064*
HB-ZOP B429 57324*
- SH9 (no marks found apart from a part of the cabin marked as s/n 0001)

The Puma is for sale, there is a sign next to it stating:
AS332L-2 Super Puma c/n 2594 LN-OHJ t/t 14262 cycles 21086 yom 2003

The SH9 is reported to be HB-ZXA, the first prototype, which was taken out of service early 2018. This will NOT be delivered to any customer, but IS painted in the colours of the first(?) customer. From what I understood there have been quite some changes after the first testflights which have been implemented in all a/c built since, making the first prototype obsolete. A quick search on Internet points towards a new rotor head, although that also states that P1 was to be refitted: https://www.ainonline.com/aviation-news ... rotor-head

Grtz,
