Hmm, interesting theory you're launching there...

It seems that the Dutch secret intelligence agencies miscalculate again.

Propwash, did you actually read the artical? Your accusation of miscalculation by the Dutch intell agencies is based on nothing!!! The Judge is convinced that the evidence found @ the suspect is state secret and there for extended the preliminary imprisoment. Stop talking bull.

I've read the article and I believe in the innocence of the former Jet Jockey ;)

I also think, the Dutch secret intelligence agencies have misleaded the judge by BS Window Dressing (false or setup evidence) as they have nothing.

Judges can be wrong too.
H E R Es a random 'off topic' article of how 12 (twelve) judges and 4 (four) prosecutors f*cked up massively.

The people that know him are not surprised that he comes up with yet another BS story to cover his ass.....

That's all I will say about this matter.

It's true that our judges and DA's are sometimes not the sharpest pencils in the box, many examples ranging from screwed up high profile murder cases and Geert Wilders's trial, but how can you be so sure that the intelligence agencies have nothing on Omelet?

If he is guilty, lock him up and throw away the keys.
If he is innocent, do that to the DA's!

Classical case of thinking a Viper jockey is the same as being superman  . These guys make mistakes too.
Get your head straight and smell the coffee. The guy is a liar in need of money. People will do stupid things in that case.
Maybe you should also read the articles about him where he is revealed as a person who has lied before in the past.

One of the articles:

Where do you read about a demoteam from the UAE? That (little) piece on the Telegraaf website only mentions documents that were found in a container heading to the UAE. Nothing more.

In O's defense for the court about his contacts with Belarus they claimed those were a direct spin-off from the Flanker crash two years ago at Radom (which I personally don't believe, given what Sheik once said about that crash after he finished displaying the F-16). With another batch of secret documents now apparently heading to the Emirates, and to maintain at least some credibility about the Radom claim, they must have met a team from the UAE (which I don't remember there was at any show in those three years the demoteam attended, that's why I asked which team they could have met).

You are making two assumptions there that are in now way deductable from the information provided:
1) Document are heading to the UAE (no, container is. UAE is a very important transit hub for cargo, so nothing says the final destination of the documents was UAE).
2) Since you assume the documents are going to the UAE, you also assume he must have met a UAE team.

So I do not have an answer to your question, but in my opinion the question is a little flawed to begin with.

So, he was in a restaurant with a Russian colonel because his name was mentioned in the crash report of the Belarus Su-27 at Radom airshow. One thing I'm curious about: was MinDef aware that he was in touch with the Russian air force about this? If so, who messed up? If not, why didn't he inform them?

One thing; if a civil servant messes up he or she will do everything in order to clear his or her name and never mind the consequences for anyone else.
I think MinDef was aware he was with the Russian, how else would they have been able to pick him up on the spot?
