The upgrade of the Kazakh Su-27 Fleet was conducted by LSARP Lviv where the single seaters were upgraded to Su-27P standard and the dual seaters were upgraded to Su-27UB-M2. These are currently based at Aktau.

The Kazakhstan Air Force operates a fleet of Mi-35M1s. These are based at Aktau, Pervomaisky and Shymkent. Since 2024, some refurbished Mi-24 are based at Semey.

Most of the branches of the armed forces operate the An-72. This 07 red is one of the two Air Force examples. It is based at Nur Sultan.
