Brief history Mauritania is a huge country in the North West of Africa. The air force is concentrated at the airport of the nation's capital, Nouakchott were a large portion of the Mauritanian people life too. The air force has operated quite some Dakotas and other types of western, mostly French-built, origin but never had jet fighters.
Nowadays the force operates Tucano and Super Tucano aircraft in the coin role. Other relatively new aircraft include two Ce208s, two Chinese Z9A Dauphin license built helicopters, and a Tetras 912 Ultralight aircraft. ....The force also still has a single BT-67 and some BN-2 for patrolling duties.
