TNI-AL Bonanza crashed

Disaster struck the Tentara Nasional Indonesia - Angkatan Laut (Indonesian Navy, TNI-AL) when Beech G36 T-2503 went missing over the Madura Strait, West of Surabaya.

The training aircraft had taken off from Surabaya/Juanda on 7 September 2022 at 08:45 LT. It was due to perform mock attacks on a naval convoy during an exercise. Ten minutes later, contact was lost and a full scale search operation was launched.

Eventually, the pilot and co-pliot were found at a depth of 14 meters on 8 September at 10:00 LT, according to the Chief of Navy Staff, general Yudo Margono. The aircraft was operated by Skuadron Udara 200 (SkU200) and was newly delivered in December 2013.
