Peruvian Navy added a T-34C-1

The Marina de Guerra del Perú (Peruvian Navy) added a T-34C-1 Turbo Mentor to its fleet.

The military trainer was acquired on the US civil market in 2021 and in fact originates from the Indonesian Air Force (LD-3408). After rework, the Turbo Mentor, registration N94R (construction number GM-56), duly arrived in Peru on 28 May 2022 and was accepted into service on 17 June 2022 receiving the serial ABI-517.

The T-34C will be used by the Escuadrón Aeronaval de Instrucción No.31 at San Juan de Marcona. As far as we are aware only two other of the original six Turbo Mentors are still operational, AI-510 and AI-516.
