"Just a nice Picture...!"

Last week Ilmavoimat (Finnish Air Force) F/A-18 Hornets from HävLLv 31 (Fighter Squadron 31) at Kuopio/Rissala trained their aerial refueling skills with a 351st Air Refueling Squadron "Anytime Anyplace Anywhere" KC-135R Stratotanker from RAF Mildenhall.

The goal of the aerial refueling exercises, which are conducted twice a year with the US Air Force, is to train, maintain and renew the air refueling qualifications of Finnish fighter pilots. Completing the qualification is part of the training of Hornet pilots. The name of the exercise is Ilmatankkausharjoitus 2/20 (Air Refueling Exercise 2/20). The aircraft were refueled in the training area between Rovaniemi, Kuusamo, Kajaani and Oulu.
