"Just a nice Picture...!"
Caught flying a break formation above the southern part of France are two French Air Force Dassault Rafale fighters and two USAF Lockheed Martin F-35A Lightning IIs.
The F-35As are part of the USAF contingent that is deployed to participate in the exercise "Atlantic Trident 21" at Base Aérienne 118 (BA118) Mont-de-Marsan (France). See the Scramble Magazine news item of 12 May 2021.
Photographed on 18 May 2021 are Rafale C 124/30-GC and Rafale B 323/4-HT with F-35As 17-5251/HL and 17-5270/HL.
While the single-seat Rafale C is based at Mont-de-Marsan with EC03.030 Lorraine, the dual-seat Rafale B is assigned to EC01.004 Gascogne, based at Base Aérienne 113 (BA113) Saint-Dizier-Robinson. The F-35As belong to the the 4th Fighter Squadron, part of the 388th Fighter Wing, based at Hill AFB (UT).
