First CH-47F MYII CAAS delivered to Gilze-Rijen

As planned, the first CH-47F MYII CAAS (Common Avionics Architecture System) Chinook has officially been delivered to Gilze-Rijen air base on 14 April 2021, exactly three months after it arrived in the Netherlands.

The CH-47F, serial D-472 (construction number M7472), already made the short hop from Woensdrecht air base to Gilze-Rijen on 1 April 2021.

For the official part of the delivery the Chinook took off from Gilze-Rijen and was accompanied by an Apache, a Cougar and another Chinook. After landing, the helicopter was welcomed by a water salute and during a small ceremony it was handed over to the Commander of 298 Squadron.
