FAB's first KC-30 arrives in Brazil
On 25 July 2022, the first Força Aérea Brasileira (FAB, Brazilian Air Force) KC-30 arrived at Viracopos International Airport (Brazil) on a direct flight from Victorville (CA). The next step will be the conversion to Multi-Role Tanker Transport (MRTT).
The aircraft, in full FAB markings and serial 2901 (c/n 1492), arrived with call sign AZU2901 revealing its previous owner Azul Linhas Aéreas Brasileiras.
Scramble Magazine reported in April 2022 on the acquiring of two Airbus A330-200s once operated by the airline.
According to the information at aeroin.net, who also have a nice video made by Golf Oscar Romeo of the aircraft arriving, the KC-30 will be officially presented in a ceremony at the Galeão Air Base, in Rio de Janeiro on Tuesday 26 July 2022.
