Bangladesh FT-7BGI crash
On 21 July 2025, the Bangladesh Biman Bahini (Bangladesh Air Force) lost one of its dual-seat F-7s from 35 squadron when FT-7BGI 2701 crashed into the Milestone School & College, Uttara, Dhaka just after take-off from BAF base Bir Uttam AK Khandaker, Dhaka/Hazrat Shahjalal Intl.
Sadly, the pilot deceased as well as over 30 civilians on the ground. This has fueled debate on BAF flying so-called "old" aircraft, but as you may know, this version is one of the latest produced and was delivered in April 2013 to Bangladesh.
