The COVID-19 pandemic has drastically changed aviation as we know it. One of the effects of it all was “going back in time”, by trying to complete logs, or making an attempt to scan old slides. Nostalgia kept us going and we, as Scramble, cannot fall behind. In a series of three articles we will take you back in time, starting with the Interbellum, the period between the Great War (WW I) and WW II.
B747 - Queen of the Sky
Fifty-one years ago, on 9 February 1969 the Boeing 747 took to the skies for the very first time. Since then more than 1,500 B747s have been built. As the pandemic of COVID-19 travels over the world, most airlines have decided to accelerate the retirement of their Jumbojets. So, time to honour the Queen in Scramble, complete with an extensive overview of this iconic plane in the history of aviation.
