After the "Phantom Pharewell" event the real last flight of the last two German F-4F Phantom´s took place at Manching today.
Both Phantoms assigned to WTD61 including the F-4F with the superb retirement scheme flew a small display the last landing ahead.

Nice pictures in superb light conditions!!
I feel awkward, but I never noticed the titles "Don't let me die I want to fly!" before... And its colors seem to suggest that it's disappearing into darkness.... Heavy stuff.

Rhino 37+15 will fly to Jever and get scrapped. The 38+13 luckily should get a second life as Gate Guard at Manching.Stratofreighter wrote:Beautiful shots of a sad occasion.
