Phantom Phlyout WTD61 Manching

Post by GME-AirFoto »

After the "Phantom Pharewell" event the real last flight of the last two German F-4F Phantom´s took place at Manching today.
Both Phantoms assigned to WTD61 including the F-4F with the superb retirement scheme flew a small display the last landing ahead.

Beautiful shots of a sad occasion. :(

Any ideas as to the future fate of both Rhinos?

Nice pictures in superb light conditions!! 8)

I feel awkward, but I never noticed the titles "Don't let me die I want to fly!" before... And its colors seem to suggest that it's disappearing into darkness.... Heavy stuff.

Rhino 37+15 will fly to Jever and get scrapped. The 38+13 luckily should get a second life as Gate Guard at Manching. :)
Thanks for feedback, some images more on our webpage and don't forget to LIKE us on Facebook for sneak-previews etc.
