For the not so big music fans... the military airport near Kaiserslautern is named Ramstein.

15JUL22:
Noted overflying mid Germany east to west around 17.15lt from EDDB to LFPV.
CTM3800, hexcode 3ac000, but ID unidentified on the different tracking apps.
According to CDM this is Da7X F-RAFA.

4 (Spanish AF?) fighters trailing at high altitude over Saarbrücken City Centre on 28-Mar-2022
On 28-Apr-2022 (at around 10:14 Z), I noted 4 jet fighters in a V-formation at high altitude over the city centre of Saarbrücken. They were flying in a roughly North-Easterly direction. The exact types are difficult to identify from the pictures, but may have been F-18.
https://drive.google.com/file/d/15b6b8R ... sp=sharing
None of the fighters were shown on the radar plotting SW that I use (Flightradar, ADSB, Planespotters). However, interestingly, at the same time as these 4 fighters, an A.400 of the Spanish AF (T.23-03) was flying in a race track pattern just NE of Saarbrücken. It took off from Wunstorf at 09:00 Z, entered the race track at 09:40 Z, left the race track pattern at 11:20 Z, finally landing at Zaragoza at 13:19Z
https://drive.google.com/file/d/11jKqUL ... sp=sharing
https://drive.google.com/file/d/147rChL ... sp=sharing
My assumption is that the A.400 was possibly refuelling the fighters, which would make them SpAF F-18s.
Can anyone confirm this, identify these jets, serials of course a great bonus...?
Thanks!

Not sure, however i think the Spanish F18s started the Baltic Air Policing at the beginning of April.
I think AME1207/1208 have been heard in that period on the way to the Baltics, but not sure.
Perhaps Joost or Klaas have better notes on this subject?
Regards Pieter

Wishful thinking; Pakistani Hercules inbound Brussel? https://globe.adsbexchange.com/?icao=76104b
Some ex BAF C-130s are sold to Pakistan; maybe picking up some equipment / spare parts or delivery of a pick-up crew.
