The venue was set to take place on Sunday as well, but due to inclement weather conditions that was cancelled. Parking
was on the HC-130 ramp, which meant that was devoid of local aircraft. Also, a fair portion of the A-10 community was
deployed overseas. The public area stretched all the way to the edge of the Southern ramp. So enough to be seen. Photography
is a bit distant and best in the late afternoon. When we left, around 11 a.m. there was an enormous row of people
waiting for the security checks. The gate opened only a little bit before 9 a.m. so get there before that, or else you will find
yourself in a 2 hour queue. With regard to the A-10C marked 76th FS, please note that this is not a typo for 75th but rather
the associate reserve squadron that bears that title and is based here too albeit without aircraft of its own. Future
Afghan Super Tucanos have their serial inside the cockpit and taped over on the aft fuselage.
