| The 11th Al Ain Air Championship (formerly known as Al Ain Aerobatic Show) was held one week before Christmas, providing |
| an excellent break from the Western European weather. The UAEAF was well presented with a selection of aircraft |
| on static display, as well its demo team Fursan. Not surprisingly, they won the championship by popular vote, although |
| one of their performances was cut short by the ingestion of a massive bird by #6. Horizon IFA provides helicopter training |
| to the military and operates some ex-military helicopters. |
