| An annual event, Mexico celebrated its independence day with a parade in Mexico City on 16 September. This year, |
| the event was hampered by hurricane Odile, which battered Mexico’s west coast; the air force had to respond to evacuate |
| thousands and provide aid to the stricken area. Nevertheless, it was decided to continue with the parade, albeit with less |
| aircraft. The following took off from BAM Santa Lucia, just north of Mexico City, to participate in the parade on 16 September, |
| with patrol and transport aircraft notably absent. |
