Mexico Independence Parade, Mexico City

19 September 2014

An annual event, Mexico celebrated its independence day with a parade in Mexico City on 16 September. This year,
the event was hampered by hurricane Odile, which battered Mexico’s west coast; the air force had to respond to evacuate
thousands and provide aid to the stricken area. Nevertheless, it was decided to continue with the parade, albeit with less
aircraft. The following took off from BAM Santa Lucia, just north of Mexico City, to participate in the parade on 16 September,
with patrol and transport aircraft notably absent.
