Approximately 46.000 people attended the Air Festival, only those who applied in advance were allowed on base. Several aircraft had special Chitose city stickers applied, those on the Eagles covered most of the tails so the Hikotai badges were obscured. Both Boeing 777s of the local VIP flight were away due to the prime minister's overseas visit. Only three preserved aircraft were photographed and posted on line but probably the other two at the gate were also present.
