WW2-fighters salute inspiring Captain Tom's BLESSED 100th

Post by Osprey66 »

:respect:

What ís in a name ........ , my tribute (amongst 'only'more then 125.000 birthday cards), and more

The brave, humble, encouraging, modest, witty, unifying and inspiring and EXEMPLARY Bedfordshire WW2-liberator Captain Tom Moore (in the mean time Honorary Colonel! "but I'm still a captain" ), who raised (recordbreaking for one sole person!) up till now over 30 million pounds for British NHS for doing 'his' 100 rounds (and more) in his backgarden because of funding for COVID19-disease, today celebrates his 100th birthday, for which all of (t)his (idea) began, in the recovery of having been in hospital recently....
Initial targeted 99 Pounds were smashingly overrun.

For this occasion it's reported that (how appropriate) a Battle of Britain (Memorial Flight) Spitfire and Hurricane departed RAF Coningsby tol bring a flying salute this morning, and wonder what more....
"I'm very pleased, but as we see them in peace now, let's not forget I'm one of still a few who saw them operate in absolute anger"

Congrats and a blessed Anniversary Mr. Moore, ás to your VERY dear family. A (grand)father to be proud of. Yóu did móre than enough!
You are an absolute highlight in your old days worth to go for another 100!
Take care, keep in shape and good health. And please, never fall!

For all who fight and fought COVID-disease
