Great log, many thanks for sharing!

We read both on the tail starting with a 9 iso an 8; maybe a misprint on the datablock?

El Patrol we read as El Patron, which actually is a Spanish word.

Argnarog should be Ragnarog.

Cheers!

There were at least two with the playing card of A Troop (no Company/Co. this is CAV :-) ) from memory, the two parked most South on the quay at least.

It seems that:

A Trp uses Spanish names and casino terms (snake eyes), they have a white playing card with a red skull(?)
B Trp uses Americana (all kinds of 'cultural' figures, tv/comics), they have a bear foot / claw
C Trp uses Gods/Mythology figures (Greek/Norwegian) as names, they have a skull with crossed swords

NIKE had no markings on the port side I think? Nike is from Greek mythology, so should be C Trp?
ARTEMIS would also fit better with C Trp as does unmarked ARES

Of course some had no markings at all and they may switch around between Troops, but the ones that had markings seem to fit the pattern.

Just to share some of our notes (we did not get all the markings, all apply to the port sides), colour markings to clarify agreement (green) or disagreement (red), and (blue) = could you please double check your notes to confirm?

More will become clear if they are photographed while travelling South I hope!

The units from my post were actually noted ON the aircraft and not assumed.
Only A Co ALL had no marks on the right hand side and had NO BADGE, but as B & C Co were all accounted for (16 apaches), the other eight must be A Co.
Of course these were only the badges worn, it is possible they now fly for another Co or in a pool...

Also see my addition in my post, Wanda & Artmis had a skull badge on the left hand side.
(no idea about the others as I was not able to check them all on the left side)

So two wore C Troop markings and a C Troop name on the LH side, but because they did not have anything on the RH/starboard side (and we neatly want 8 for each Troop) must be A Troop?

That is one leap too far for me, because there are several with no markings on the LH side that did have B/C Troop markings on the RH side. According to your "unmarked = A troop"-theory, they could just as well belong to A Troop too...
For instance 'Ares' and 'Nike'.

Hopefully, none have conflicting markings on LH/RH side. For now, I'll try to stick to the markings worn either LH or RH side :-)

No, I think the two wear A Co (or A Troop) badge (play card with red skull).
I guess the skull with the two crossed swords in C Co.
