Just stumbled on the news that apart from the Saturday, there will also be a spotter event on the friday afternoon; registration is free but mandatory. This will probably be a rather small event. The A400M SHOULD have been there, but due to the crash in Spain it will most likely NOT be.

Has anybody some more info about what to expect on the saturday? Visitors are allowed to enter the base but there will be no flying if i'm correct? So some German visitors on the ground perhaps en some EF2000 I guess? Anybody some experiance from the past?

Not worth a long trip, but can be a good day.
A-400M cancelled, would be my reason to go to Nörvenich.

Main bases for Saturday are Manching and Fritzlar, I understood.....

What I saw on the map on their website is that the static display will be parked on the runway. So don't count on a flying display....

Not entirely true: there will be flying, but only by the Sportfliegergruppe (they don't need much runway, or can use the grass) and possibly one or more (civil) helo's. So, it is true only from a military point of view that there will be no flying... :wink:

On their website it's mentioned, also flying display by (mil)helicopters.

In the past it has been occured that the runway at Norvenich was used as parking spot for visiting cars. Flightdisplays and formation flights operated out of Köln-Bonn that time. Would not surprise me if this is the case this year aswell.

According to the program on the Bundeswehr website only a Eurofighter display is scheduled:
