RAAF Air Task group is already in the '''Middle east'' since Sept. 21 (deployed at an unknown air base in UAE ?)
The contigent consists of E-7A A30-002 from 2sq (AEW), KC-30A A39-002/003 from 33sq (refuel.support)
F/A-18Fs from 1/6sqns: A44-205,212,213,215,220.

It was not a fighter, but a v-22 osprey.

Let's just say most news articles are written by uninformed journalists... :roll: Original release by the US Navy mentions 2 crew bailed out. No mention of ejection seats...

According to minister Hennis the remaining five F-16's have left Volkel today and are enroute to Jordan.
Lets wish them good luck and a safe return!

J-061 NAF89 landed at Leeuwarden fully armed.

Aussi Govt pix on FlightGlobal show Hornets (airborne) A44-209 plus A44-224 (in a temporary shelter), both fully armed. They also show Adel'A Rafale 104-GJ being refuelled by an Aussi 330 over a sandy landscape. (A39-001 and 005 were noted at Getafe two weeks ago.)

They are already there and started sunday and monday with missions
