As it seems the nosewheel-strut was out, but the wheel was gone. They therefore decided to come in with the gear up!

Great job by the pilot and some work for the runway-repair!

Is Leeuwarden closed now or are they using the short RWY?

Thanks for sharing this. Good stuff and good flying! Small pointer to the person doing the communication with the FDEP. Not just chaff & flares onboard but also 20mm rounds...

Today I confirm that is correct, about 17:00 hours there has been a report from Polly 4, a Tire problem.

I listning this out, the other f-16's landing and the latest using a parachute!
( polly 1 )

Polly 4 is landed about 18:30, metall on the runway.
I think there will be some demage.
They canceld the night flying after this failure.
The front nose wheel is missing a tire.

I have heard from some distance a bang and f-16 sound going fast off.

That's all. meaby I have this sound on tape.
Check that later.

Impressive soundfile. Does anyone have some info about the state of the aircraft, now we know the pilot is ok?

Have they gone trough the sound barrier? I guess that's the reason of the strange explosions wich are heard around Purmerend:

(only in Dutch)

The BAF632 was C-130 CH-05 according to the flightplan, enroute Gardemoen - Melsbroek.
Their routing included the UL74 airway which runs down the North Sea just off the Dutch coast. It seems reasonable to assume that the explosions heard in Noord-Holland could have come from the F-16s as they went supersonic.

Yorden
