Ocean Infinity, the UK-based global underwater search company, has three of its revolutionary high-tech vessels waiting near Malaysia to search for MH370.

Armada 78 04 and 06 are moored in the port of Singapore.

All three ships are fitted out for underwater search.

Ocean Infinity has presented the Malaysian Government with a “no find no fee” offer
to look for MH370, which disappeared on March 8, 2014, with 239 aboard,
in a new location based on the breakthrough WSPR work from Richard Godfrey.

The Malaysian Government is currently debating the offer with the cost estimated to be around $70 million if MH370 is found.

Researchers Think Throwing Boeing 777 Parts In The Sea Will Track Down MH370

It’s been more than 10 years since Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 vanished and now a new study is hoping to shed light on where the plane could have ended up

Published October 8, 2024

A program called the Finding MH370 Project has been launched to do exactly what its name suggests:
find the remains of the Boeing 777 aircraft that vanished in March 2014.

To do this, the project won’t turn to sonar-equipped drones or thorough searches of the seafloor.

Instead, the team plans to release Boeing 777 parts into the Indian Ocean and track their movements.
Crowd-funding has been slow at

so far.... :|
All or nothing. This project will only be funded if it reaches its goal by Thu, October 31 2024 10:16 AM CET.
This project will resolve the issue by obtaining a real 777 flaperon,
cutting it down to match the damaged flaperon recovered on Réunion Island,
outfitting with sensors and telemetry,
and then releasing it near the presumed crash site of MH370 on the 11th anniversary of the disappearance.

Cameras will monitor the growth of barnacles on the surface,
and a radio transmitter will relay its location and the temperature of the water.
After 15 months, the flaperon will be recovered and the barnacle population examined.

05 November, 2024

According to the Straits Times Malaysia is set to restart the search for MH370
citing a “credible” proposal that suggests a new search area in the southern Indian Ocean.

Straits Times said that Malaysia’s Transport Minister Anthony Loke
confirmed on Nov 5 that Kuala Lumpur
is currently in negotiations with Ocean Infinity
regarding a proposal the company made in June 2024
to resume the undersea search for the MH370 wreckage
in a 15,000 sq km area off the coast of Western Australia.

“The search will take place between November 2024 and March 2025.
The search is on a ‘no find, no fee’ basis as expected.
In the event that MH370 is found, then a fee of $70M is payable.

“We are expecting further details shortly.”

Malaysia says it will resume search for missing flight MH370

Updated 3:04 AM EST, Fri December 20, 2024

Transport Minister Anthony Loke said
the proposal to search a new area in the southern Indian Ocean
came from exploration firm Ocean Infinity,
which had also conducted the last search for the plane that ended in 2018.

The firm will receive $70 million if wreckage found is substantive,
Loke told a press conference.

The Malaysian government says it has agreed in principle to resume the search for a passenger jet that vanished 10 years ago in one of aviation's greatest mysteries.

Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370 disappeared in March 2014 while on its way to Beijing from Kuala Lumpur with 239 people on board.

Efforts to locate the wreckage of the Boeing 777 have sputtered over the years and hundreds of families of those on board remain haunted by the tragedy.

On Friday, Malaysia's transport minister Anthony Loke said the cabinet approved in principle a $70m (£56m) deal with US-based marine exploration firm Ocean Infinity to find the aircraft.

KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 25 — A British-led mission to find Malaysia Airlines flight MH370
has resumed in what is anticipated to be the final search
for the plane that disappeared more than a decade ago.

According to various news reports,
marine robotics firm Ocean Infinity’s deep-water support vessel, Armada 7806,
arrived at a new search area in the Indian Ocean, about 1,200 miles off Perth, Australia,
over the weekend.

The vessel is now scouring the seabed in a six-week operation
that will cover 15,000 square kilometres of high-priority zones
where debris from the missing Boeing 777-200ER is believed to be located, according to The Telegraph.

The underwater autonomous vehicles (AUVs) and remote recovery vehicles
are being operated via satellite link from Ocean Infinity’s control centre in Southampton, England,
the report said.

The ‘MH370 Families’ Facebook page, in its latest post, shared the webpage for the families to track the search progress of Ocean Infinity’s Armada 78-06 ship.

“It is available here:

“The ship’s progress is updated at 30 minutes past every hour with a time difference of one hour 30 minutes. The search and search zones are also illustrated. This will work as long as the AIS (Automatic Identification System) is available,” the post stated.

The latest search for Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 has been postponed, 11 years after the Boeing 777 disappeared.

"They (Ocean Infinity) have stopped the operation for the time being, they will resume the search at the end of this year," Transport Minister Anthony Loke said in a voice recording sent to AFP on Thursday by his aide.

Ocean Infinity, based in Britain and the United States, led an unsuccessful hunt in 2018, before agreeing to launch a new search this year.

"Right now, it's not the season," Loke said in the recording, which was made during an event at Kuala Lumpur International Airport on Wednesday.

The minister, quoted by state news agency Bernama,
did not say why such a prolonged delay was required.

In the southern hemisphere, it is now autumn and poor wintry conditions
are then expected to predominate for several months.

Malaysia’s transport ministry said Wednesday that a private firm will resume a deep-sea hunt for Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 later this month, more than a decade after the jet vanished without a trace.

The search will be carried out by Texas-based marine robotics firm Ocean Infinity, which signed a new “no-find, no-fee” contract with Malaysia’s government in March.

The search for missing Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370 will resume on December 30, Malaysia's transport ministry said on Wednesday, more than a decade after the Beijing-bound flight disappeared in one of the world's greatest aviation mysteries.

The most recent search in the southern Indian Ocean was suspended in April after just a few weeks due to poor weather conditions. Exploration firm Ocean Infinity has confirmed it would recommence seabed operations for 55 days, conducted intermittently, the transport ministry said.

State-of-the-art underwater robots will in the coming days begin mapping the abyss of the Indian Ocean,
hunting a lost Malaysia Airlines Boeing 777 and all 239 people on board.

While previous investigations have been conducted in a blaze of publicity,
the latest developments have been comparatively low key,
with few disclosures about new information or search areas.

Malaysia has added little more, with its transport ministry only saying
that there will be an “intermittent” search lasting a total of 55 days
“carried out in a targeted area assessed to have the highest probability of locating the aircraft”.

Family groups and underwater search enthusiasts have in recent days been tracking the movements
of a 285ft-long, multi-purpose offshore vessel called Armada 86 05,
which is reported to be leading the search.

This week’s resumption, due to begin on Dec 30, will see the company attempt to complete that search.

Ocean Infinity will use Hugin 6000 autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs),
which can map the ocean floor in 3D at depths of up to 6,000m
using sonar, laser, optic and echo sound technology.
