Thanks again to all who contributed last month.

On the 5th of July the last remaining 4 F-16's of 322sq were ferried from Leeuwarden to Volkel. The borrowed 312sq F-16B J-882 stayed a little longer but returned on the 20th back to Volkel. KTV seems to be still operating from Leeuwarden and their F-16B J-066 remains at the Frisian air base for now.

312sq has now 37 airframes and rebatching of the F-16's on Volkel continues, unfortunately this month only toned down badges and tailbands were applied.

In Tucson another F-16 was seen with toned down markings and it was confirmed that all airframes of 148FS have flown in 2021.

The J-015 returned from SABCA to Volkel while the J-013 and J-516 arrived at the LCW at Woensdrecht.

It arrived at Volkel on 02-08-2021 so according to the overview there are no F-16s anymore at Leeuwarden...
AFB Leeuwarden has been replaced by Volkel and also the Frisian ventral fin band has been replaced by a Noord-Brabant band.

With the return from maintenance of the J-367 from Charleroi to Volkel on August 11, all remaining 48 operational F-16's have flown in 2021.

On the second day of August the last remaining operational F-16 at Leeuwarden, the J-066 of the Flight Test Office, was ferried to Volkel. Two days later it was already seen deprived from any references to Leeuwarden and in Volkel colours. Tucson and Volkel are now the remaining bases with Dutch F-16 operations.

The amount of remaining operational F-16's was reduced to 47 with the withdrawal from use of the J-628. It was last noted flying a local mission on Volkel on July 26, 2021.

The J-013 and J-060 returned from maintenance to Volkel from Woensdrecht.

In the US another F-16 lost its trademark Tucson tailband in favour of toned down markings.

148FS announced that in July 2022 the Klu detachment on Tucson will be terminated. Some sources claim that the 148FS F-16's will be scrapped in the US because transfer costs back to the Netherlands would be too high.

However over the past year, 6 out of 10 F-16's of 148FS have been repainted, which in itself would be strange if you would scrap them in the near future. Could it be they will not be scrapped, but are part of the recently announced first batch of 12 F-16's for Draken International?
