Re: Nellis Red//Green Flag 2019 dates?

Will be there March 14th, and 15th. That is next Thursday and Friday. At what time does flying usually begin? Expect flying all day from the based aircraft, but RF usually flies twice a day, with the second launch at night. The day launch has been from roughly 1200 for the heavies and 1300-1500 for...

Apparently the RAF Typhoons that were over for RF19-1 will be doing the next Green Flag.

Re: Red Flag 19-1 players

Regarding the A-4s, most of the dark green ones are A-4Ks. The Ns have a hump, the Ks don’t.

Re: Red Flag 19-1 players

Sometimes even earlier, stuff can be coming back by 7.30! Most days see Weapons School (WAs) flying morning and afternoon, plus OTs, usually after Weapons School. Add to the mix the 24th TASS (WA, ex HL), plus anything else that may be present, either for Green Flag or doing it’s own thing. If you’r...

Re: Red Flag 19-1 players

But they did not fly with the Red Flag mission that day, only with the Weapons School aircraft, the Draken aircraft and a lot A-10 aircraft (Close Air Support?). Grtz, R. OK, which Friday 8th or 15th? The 8th was a Red Flag non-flying day, it was also 'Distinguished Visitors Day' (although apparent...

Re: Nellis Red//Green Flag 2019 dates?

RF 19-2 participants in case anyone missed it last month. Wanted to see if there was any more word on 19-2 being pushed back to March 11th. Trying to plan or trip accordingly. Re: Nellis Red//Green Flag 2019 dates?

Hi everyone, Just to be sure, RF 19-2 will be held from March 11-22 correct? Not the dates listed on the Nellis site? Just want to make sure so I can plan around those dates. Thanks Dates for Red Flag 19-2 on the Nellis website have been changed to 8 March-22 March. https://www.nellis.af.mil/Home/F...

Re: Red Flag 19-1 players

Just a small remark on the big log (thanks for that). I wonder if the T-38s were flying for the Red Flag. I saw them flying last friday, hours before the Red Flag launch begin. So maybe they were there for another exercise ( Green Flag ???). Grtz, R. In previous Red Flags they've been observed flyi...

In mid October there were eight visible, and believe there was a report shortly afterwards of nine!

Re: Red Flag 19-1 players

ADSB suggests three more T-38Cs may be at Nellis right now, 67-14955, 68-8119 & 68-8210 According to a post on the Nellis Spotters FB page, 68-8119 was inbound on Friday, but the five that turned up were as listed! (with 68-8105 in the lead, which would suggest that one was pinging as 68-8119??!) I...

Re: Red Flag 19-1 players

T-38s look to be up again, 70-1954 is showing so that one’s actually correct (assuming it’s actually in that aircraft!)

Re: Red Flag 19-1 players

RAAF 3sq stopped flying the Hornet in December 2017. The ones noted at Nellis still have 3sq markings. I am not sure, but think these aircraft are operated by 77sq or 2OCU. Or even split between these units. Hans van Herk OK, thanks. I've listed them with the markings they're carrying. 77 is the sq...

Re: Red Flag 19-1 players

Great log! Did you read any of the other HH-60G's flying?

Albert
There were a few flying around, with around a dozen in total on the ramp, but the others were all the usual ones.
