@rene: yeah, I know. What I meant was that we don't normally see them (or any Northwest eeehhh Delta aircraft) over Almere. They tend to stay to the west of us... that's why I (still) would like to know which one it was...

If I'm not mistaken, there was a Delta B767 low overhead Almere heading towards you around 0850lt. We don't see them that often over here.. which one was it please?

There is of course a difference between axing bases and axing roles. Roles can be transferred to other wings. That would still make a base closure possible while keeping the role.

When we visited Wittmund in April, we were told that the original plan was to re-equip with Eurofighters in 2012.
