See the other topics in military news; it was the QRA from Leeuwarden on a scramble; AJ54 seems to be the one that went supersonic over the middle of the country; AJ61 followed a bit later and appears to have remained subsonic.

Of course, that's the one. Should have known; silly me  I only saw it from behind, so I only noticed the red tail and aft fuselage. Thanx!

Did I see a red CRJ arrive this morning around 0900  ? Or was it a Challenger? And if so, what DID I see?

Got a question myself: going home around 1700 and driving on the A4 motorway, I saw what looked like an all-white Fokker 100 heading for the 36L (Polder). Anybody?

My thoughts exactly, in which case Andover C.1PR XS596 would be the most obvious candidate; anyway, there are not that many other RAF Andovers left flying around

anyone for confirmation?

Long shot:

Tuesday, oct 16 at 15:26 (thanks, my trusted digital camera...), a RAF Andover passed overhead Schiphol heading west. Anybody got any clues as to its ID?

I think it has a lot to do with the Estonian authorities becoming more strict in allowing or banning aircraft from their register. I met owner Ake Jansson during the time he had two Daks on the Zaire register (9Q-CUK and 9Q-CYE) at the airshow at Berlin-Gatow in 1993 and he told me then that his rea...

Great day you had. On Saturday when we were there the formation had to be cancelled; there was way too much wind for a safe display. Only some small solo displays (I could have sworn I saw a PA18 fly BACKWARDS  ) and pleasure flights. Of the 'heavies' only D-CDLH, F-AZVM, G-APSA, HA-LIX and H...

Spectacular, indeed!

Although, from a Dutch point of view, what a pity this show is at the other end of the world... :(

(even though the name "Overberg" suggests an airfield "just around the corner from Schiphol" )
