Re: Yelahanka February 2015

I was lucky enough to visit the show on the opening day Weds 18 Feb and the log is presented below. I will post a link to some photos once I get them processed. Overall the show was somewhat disappointing with the hoped-for flypast not materialising and the absense of several aircraft which could re...

Re: Yelahanka February 2015

It has been announced in the Indian press that Prime Minster Modi should be attending the opening of the airshow on Wednesday morning so I would say the chances of a flypast would be excellent this year. No info from the official website (no change there then!) but the following info comes from some...

Re: Delhi India - Republic Day flypast and Rehersals

Here are a selection of shots from the rehersals and the main event. The first 13 shots are from the rehersal on 23rd Jan and the last 7 are from the Republic Day itself on 26th. As prevously mentioned, the weather was far from ideal and none of these are of publishable quality. Indeed, I had the sh...

Re: Delhi India - Republic Day flypast and Rehersals 2015

The aircraft identified in the actual Republic Day flypast are listed below. Anyone who saw the parade on TV would recognise that the weather was less than ideal for the event. Early in the morning the weather could best be described as "abysmal" but by the time of the flypast it had improved to jus...

Re: Yelahanka February 2015

Hi Rickie I dont know of anyone that would be able to answer this question with any degree of certainty, their website doesn't even have a list of expected aircraft with less than a month to go - see https://www.aeroindia.in/Default.aspx and it is not in the nature of anyone in the military to give ...

Delhi India - Republic Day flypast and Rehersals

Every year on 26th January on the occasion of Republic Day there is a flypast by the Indian Air Force over New Delhi and specifically directly over Rajpath and India Gate which is at the heart of the Government area. The main event for the amassed VVIPs is actually a parade which lasts some 2 hours....

Kyung-gi International Aerospace Airshow '14 - Suwon

Hi Here is a log for the airshow held at Suwon between 9-12 Oct 2014 although the log relates just to the first day - Thursday 9th Oct which is the only day the public flypast was held. Several of the stored RF4s were moved to the North end of the base during the airshow and were easily visible from...

Re: Qatar National Day 2014

Hi Steve The main Mirage flypast with 8 aircraft was at 0833, followed by the 3 AlphaJets, the C17, 2 C130Js and the PC21s. Then then helis did their flypast in various waves starting 0836: first was 3 AW139s (QA60, 68, 70), then 2 sets of 3 Gazelle (QA03, 06, 13 then QA07, 08, 10) followed by the 3...

Re: Qatar National Day 2014

The National Day Parade started around 8am with the main flypast between approx 0830-0845. There was only one flag waving heli this year (Sea King QA30) which flew along the Corniche around 0804 and then whilst the main parade was in full swing there were several groups of parachutists jumping from ...

Re: Qatar National Day 2014

Hi

As suspected, there was no flypast along the Corniche today. There may have been a small event at the mil base at the old airport as there was a Mirage display there in the morning.

In the afternoon approx 1415 there was a US Army Apache (03-05348) flying with AW139 QA73 over part of the city

Re: Qatar National Day 2014

Here are the serials of the aircraft involved in todays flypast (Tues 16th Dec). Over the last few days the timing of the practice flypasts has been between 1200-1300 with the flag waving heli just before it. Flag waving heli: Sea King QA30 Mirage 2000: QA86, QA87, 91, 92, 93, 94, 95, 98 AlphaJet: Q...
