Re: The European Federation Historic Aviation

All, Even if you are only remotely interested in historic aviation, please do join EFHA! It's free, there are no obligations, and it helps EFHA to help the owners and users of historic aircraft to keep their machines legally and safely in the air. EFHA can't do its work without your support. So plea...

Re: UV Filters Hot or Not

Denk even mee.

Re: Strange pixels?

Vincent, it's not uncommon at all to find these "hot pixels" during long exposure. Just about every digital camera has some. As long as they don't show up during short exposures, there's nothing to be worried about. But just in case they bug you too much, read this thread that includes a non-scienti...

Re: Omroep Flevoland: Aviodrome in zwaar weer

Wan...

Request for Boeing Stearman / Kaydet info

Dear all, I'm trying to compile a list of Stearmans / Kaydets currently in Europe and their owners / operators. I already have most details for Stearmans and their owners based in Belgium and the Netherlands, but I'm lacking much data on machines in other parts of Europe. Since most Stearmans / Kayd...

Re: REQ: photo material of Spyker Aircraft

Strato, The "90-series" were used for "civil products", like the Safir and several cars. The development and production of these products were not started for the Swedish Armed Forces or government, but were intended for the civil market. Other series were used for the "military products". The J-17,...

Re: REQ: photo material of Spyker Aircraft

But back to my question, anybody for a Spyker plane, either original, partly original or a replica anywhere in the world? Please note that some of the planes were produced under the Trompenburg brand.

Thanks,
Herbert

Re: REQ: photo material of Spyker Aircraft

To clearify - today's Saab aircraft company only shares the brand name with the Saab car company. There will be no Spyker Gripen... Well, Daniel, that's not entirely true. SAAB started out in 1937 as a purely aircraft company, producing planes for the Swedish Air Force. It wasn't till 1944 t...

Spyker Aircraft

Digging up this topic with a somewhat related question. Does anyone know if any Spyker-produced aircraft or replica still exists anywhere in the world? So far I can't find any info on this on the web, and wonder if anything at all survives from what Spyker used to produce about 95 years ago. Thanks,...

I think you're right, Jos. I hadn't seen that explicit mentioning of the Frankenplane in the crash before.
