A109 overhead Arnhem 17/6

Hi all,

while driving on the A12 near Arnhem this morning (8.30-ish) I noted a chopper flying in a northerly direction. 99% sure it was an A109 but as it was backlit I am not sure if it was military or civil. Anyone for a number maybe?

To prevent people from not posting anymore:

Some nice and sharp pictures! My favourites: Javindo's herc (nothing wrong with a good side-on) and his three quarter rear view of the Belgian ERJ.

I imagined that...I asked the manager about the GdiF H500's and he said that he sold them a year ago. He either just wanted to get rid of us as quick as possible so he could close the place, or his memory wasn't working very well...

Hi Melchior,

we were here on saturday, just before closing time. We convinced the manager to let us have a quick look-around. He told us though, that there were no H500's left. Where were these H500's, on the office side or on the side of the F-104's/Gina's?

Now there's something you don't see every day! Nice shots, some great planes. I like all the different Kulula schemes, the Angolan herc, the Ma-60 etc. Nice break between all the EHAM-posts.......

Why the arabic text on the Mangusta engine? I forgot what it literally means, but it's something that all Italian choppers carry that have been in Afghanistan (or was it Iraq?). I had a base visit at Taranto three years ago; there was a hangar with stored Gulf veterans (AB212's and SH-3's) that all...

Hi Mart, well....according to the French OrBat on this very same site there should be an AdlA unit (EH06.067) with Puma's. And according to this link: http://www.defense.gouv.fr/air/au_service_de_la_defense/unites_aeriennes/helicopteres/escadron_d_helicopteres_6_67_solenzara" onclick="window.open(th...

As can be read on Italianvipers.com in a press release by the Ufficio Pubblica Informazione of the Aeronautica Militare, there will be a 40min. tactical demo during the airshow (hmmmm....where have I seen that before? ). It will consist of the following: 2x Typhoon 2x Tornado 2x AMX 2x HH-3F 1...

Thanks Wijgert, the list looks better and better. Especially the Greek Super Puma would be nice! Thanks for the hints on other pages with participants lists. By the way, just found the italianvipers forum last wednesday: very handy as it provided me with the serial of a Brazilian Hercules that I saw...

Hi Wijgert,

where did you get that info from? The list (see link mentioned on page one of this subject) doesn't have it yet, in fact it hasn't been updated for quite a while. Do you have another webpage to keep an eye on?

Hi all and especially Claudio, Nice pics of the Phantoms of the 9th of may! I was in the neighbourhood during a business trip and convinced my colleague to make a quick stop. We stepped out of our car and wham!, the two greeks passed over our heads for their first pass. Nice to see them make a coupl...
