Zoals bekend vliegt deze testkist met RD93 motoren bekend uit de MiG-29, en inderdaad roken deze. Dat lijkt mij geen verrassing. Het een goedkope manier om een off-the-shelf motor te gebruiken ipv een compleet nieuwe te ontwikkelen. De productieversies zullen andere motoren gebruiken zoals de WS-13A.

dus defensie wil op het gigantische oppervlakte van de voormalige vliegbasis Soesterberg precies op die plek een nieuwe opslag bouwen............ ...logisch.....

What did you make of the flight demonstration of the J-31? Comments of some international observers have been less than flattering. Apparently the jet is grossly underpowered and has to fly with after burner continuously to stay level? A pic of the J-31 which clearly shows the display without using...

That is an achievement in itself since the runway at Zhuhai is over 13,000 feet (4000 metres) long.

Thanks guys!. I am having some trouble accessing my Photobucket account from China so I will update next week when I have returned to Holland. The Y-20 made quite an interesting performance with steep banks and turns. The engines are realy outdated but on the other hand it sounds like an Il-76 :-) ....

The AVIC company advertises the exportversion as the F-60 . Many Pakistany military were present at Zhuhai as well as one Pakistani JF-17 at the static.

I spend 3 days at the China Airshow 2014 in Zhuhai and here are a few quick edits from the laptop. With almost no Sunshine and hazy weather it was challenging.
