Re: Leeuwarden RNLAF Open Days 10/11 June 2016, participants

Good morning all,

The two hangars on the right side of the static line contained a couple of F-16's. The most right hangar had J-877 inside but I forgot to write down the inhabitants of the other hangar. Can somebody help me out please?
Thanks.

S-55/Whirlwind Benidorm

And it seems to be permanent "red nose day" in the Romanian Airforce.

Re: Cuatro Vientos Museum

Finally I had some time to process a few more pics of our visit to Cuatro Vientos. This time a few of the piston driven icons of the sky. 12. The only KC-97 on display outside of the United States. http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp7/Rene-1964/KC-97_TK.1-3_SpanishAirforce_01_zpsessl9lvi.jpg 13 ht...

Re: Cuatro Vientos Museum

As mentioned in my earlier post some more pics will follow. First of all the somewhat shabby Orion followed by the aircraft from the fighter row. 01 http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp7/Rene-1964/P-3_P.3-7_SpanishNavy_01_zpsp2tuhoze.jpg 02 http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp7/Rene-1964/P-3_P.3-7...

Re: Cuatro Vientos Museum

you asked for the Orion, here it is (shot taken 09 october 2014): http://i57.tinypic.com/igemg4.jpg Edit: Sorry René... I overlooked your remark that you were going to upload a pic later. Would still love to see it though, as you undoubtedly had better weather! Did you manage the F-4C and the Mirag...

Re: Cuatro Vientos Museum

Mirage 3 C.11-13 also has seen better days. Who can identify the Beech (?) next to it. Well, you can, or at least, could have. It has the serial in the tail. On the picture I can only read E.24 (probably E.24B), but the rest is not clearly visible. If you have a better picture, or the sharper origi...

Yes I do. Unfortunately I have not had the time to process it already. I will do that tomorrow and publish it. It is a bit in a sorry state however and missing various parts.

Re: Cuatro Vientos Museum

The stairs would indicate that getting onboard is indeed possible. However as far as I could determine none of the planes is accessible or approachable in any way. Even stepping on the grass to get a better photo angle results in a reprimande from one of the staff members.

Cuatro Vientos Museum

Our recent holiday in Spain brought us in the vicinity of the Cuatro Vientos Museum. Gates opened at 10am and we were the first visitors to pass through. I still have to process most of my pics but this is a sneak preview. The museum shows two Casa 207 Azor transport planes and the T.7-6 was recentl...
