I don't know if there where eastern block aircraft on regular days on Gilze, but the first airshow to host them was Eindhoven in July 1993. Czech Mi-17, Mi-24, MiG-29, Su-25 and the Slowak AF Biele Albatrosy team. Gilze in 1992 didn't have any eastern block aircraft.

Of course it is all a matter of opinion and as such we will never agree. Fine by me and I respect your opinion. To me, cropping pictures is OK even if plane parts are taken off. Basically the rule for me is: - I want the aircraft centered in the picture - I don't want to have a large part of the pic...

Apart from the detail shots (which are obviously not of the whole plane), it is all about the angle of the shot. If you look at the pictures, you´ll see that pictures taken from the side usually show all, but from another angle not. If, for example, you take a shot almost head on, you either have a ...

Enige probleem kan zijn wanneer je op een andere trip van buiten de EU weer terugkomt. Als je dan wordt gecontroleerd zal je ook dan moeten kunnen aantonen dat je de lens niet buiten de EU hebt gekocht..... en je hebt geen aankoopbonnetje. Afgelopen dinsdag terug gekomen uit de VS, zonder iets voor m'n camera te kopen. Had geen douane check op het eind. In zo'n geval kun je natuurlijk gewoon doorlopen. Extra tip daarbij, vlieg met een overstap binnen de EU. Niet alleen is dat vaak nog goedkoper, het vermindert ook de kans op controle...

Wat ik hieruit opmaak is dat de Schiphol Group spottersplaatsen gebruikt om spotters te centraliseren op 1 plek. Wat naar mijn mening een onmogelijke opgave is zeker als de fotografeer mogelijkheden van de nieuwe spottersplek alles behalve goed zijn. Eens, maar volgens mij hebben ze daar helemaal g...
